Items containing hazardous material such as freon should not be placed and left in the floodplain.
Structures built in the floodplain are at risk of being swept away. This risks downstream neighbors and could damage bridges and culverts.
Recreational items along the river need to be removed before flooding occurs. Tents, hammocks, grills, chairs, tubes, etc. cause unnecessary litter to be added to our waterways.
